As a Mechanical Engineer with a background in medical device design, I like to leverage my knowledge to improve the clinical outcomes of cardiovascular stents. My current project focuses on the development of polymeric stents to treat pediatric aortic coarctation. To this end, I delve into disciplines ranging from the study of the mechanical behavior of the structure to the analysis of the recellularization and thrombogenicity of the implants.
