PhD Candidate
Cellular Modulation of Chronic Allograft Injury

Elise studies immune and inflammatory responses in chronic allograft rejection (lung/tracheal transplantation) using tissue engineered cell-seeded scaffolds. She received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biomolecular Engineering from Yale University. Previous research projects focused on creating chemical linkers for antibody-drug conjugates, promoting angiogenesis in 3D gels through paracrine signaling, and elucidating the role of cell-matrix interactions in lung tissue engineering. Outside of the lab her interests include running, soccer, and cooking/baking.
